Contractual brief this is a brief that is set out in front of the client like most briefs this will help the client to understand what they want from this work however they will have to sign a contract on agreeing with the particular work which they have been given.

Competition briefs are different to most briefs the reason being is because they are left open to any other company to take and fill the brief this in itself creates competition for a company that it not carrying out this brief this will mean they will end up on the losing end of a particular corporation this is very strong with gaming companies as they will try to make as many games to appeal to different audiences when there are open briefs like this it is vital to participate in these briefs.

An informal brief can be set out like most briefs like you would think a meeting. In actual fact the client has to work with the boss to carry out the brief with them this is why they would have a meeting so that they could arrange a plan to carry out so that they can fulfill the brief and they don't have to sign contracts either it's straight into working to complete the brief.

Negotiated briefs are seen more often than you think a negotiated brief is when two or more companies pitch in to create a pitch for idea that they can work on this is particular see with call of duty were different companies will work to create a different call of duty. However it's not just games this is seen in but also films.

This brief is just straight forward a company will set out the appropriate rules and steps provided for the specific clients to carry out this can be for film and just any company like furniture companies and miscellaneous companies. The only thing is that the clients have to agree with what they are given to carry out the brief
