We set out to film our indents the way we accomplished this task was by having different roles in our team so that we could keep all the work organized. I was in charge of being the assistant director I helped the director with various tasks but I also helped with the animation as well. The first ident that we worked on was the sports ident which was Daniel Taiwo's idea this involved us having to book the gym but this was difficult as teachers were doing other things like teaching there classes so booking the gym was quite difficult but when we were able to gain access we immediately started working on our ident. What we set out to do from this example of work was to make a professional standard ident which would be appealing to our target audience that is why we had Daniel Taiwo working on most of the animation as he was most skilled in this field we went about this first filming our idents and then animating over them this was to make it appealing to our client as well.
When we we went about our work we made sure that it was deatailed enough not only this but to make sure that it was suitable before filming some of the work however was harder to complete than others but we were able to finish it nether the less. When is came to work like the production plans and schedules this was Tamaira's role as the producer this was creating a schedule for filming the idents and it was also making a pack with work that the client can see this was the production log and it contained all the neccasassary information needed to understand our idents.
My role was to be the assistant director I wassupposed to help the director if he needed it on certain tasks such as the animatic which required our attention even the story boards if neccassaty. One of the things I did in particular though was to help with the animation and to make sure that I was completed to a reasonable standard I started on animations the first ident which I later let Daniel animate as it was his ident and he knew what it wanted to look like so I worked on my ident which was on a con as in the green room.
Responding to the brief was more difficult than I thought as I was unorganised I se t my team back a bit which I should have taken responsibility for and the other team memeber were struggling because of the not all the tasks were behind on schedule though mainly the actual idents were which were hard to accomplish because of the time schedule but were were eventually able to complete all the idents by the deadline the only problem was that I failed to upload my work for the group however this can be accomplished by silmply making sure that we all have our idents uploaded which would be extreamly beneficial. With written tasks we were normally up to date we didn't have to retry as a lot of our written work was to an acceptable standard.
When it came to changes we didn't really have to make many this was because we already did some of our work to the standard we wanted it. The changes we did have to make were one of the idents and production plans this was because one of the idents we made didn't correlate with our themes so we had to change it so that it made sense with our other idents. We then filmed a newident in the studio filming music as this was more created and linked with the enrichment program so that it would fit well with our themes we filmed this ident in the studio and we were able to animate most of it as well. One ident was supposed to have 5 dancers but we only recieved one but it was still good on the less this just required a change in the written reports. One of the big things we had to change was the production log this was unacceptable to the client as the information inside the log was too vague and it wad not representable as an actual production we quickly made changes into making the production log more suitable and then we finally gave it to the client.
This is the series of reports explaining our processes and management during the production.

diary entry 3
i. Meeting with deadlines some of the deadlines we were expecting to meet were on time were as others were not when working with the client we were successfully able to give him the work he required. some of the deadlines we met were set back due to difficulties with our production log we then worked hard to make the log more acceptable.
ii. liaison with the client was fairly simple on our meeting we talked about the products we were going to work on which were the idents we talked about our ideas and the themes which was enrichment which was envolved various activities such as sports and creative arts.

Consulting with the client i/ii
When the client came into the CTK building he talked to us about what the idents should look like and what the CTK actually means so he talked to us about the color scheme how it had to be purple but not only that but he didn't want to leave any subjects out like science, english and maths we had to explain as a team why we wanted to do what we wanted to do so we said that this would be boring and would not appeal to adults this is why we said that making the idents about the various activities of enrichment would be much more appealing to them. We had to do this because we want our idents to be highly sophisticated and interesting to look at so we consulted with the client telling him why english and maths would be boring and it wouldn't appeal to teenagers.
We then created the storyboards for the ident as we all came up with one idea each we all did the storyboard of our idea. that way when we had to talk to the client again we explained why our ideas would appeal to teenagers especially. We did agree with the client on a number of things though we thought that the logo can help a lot due to its circular design. this would have been easy to animate as well. One of the questions we asked was about the colour scheme and what would be appropriot so we then got our answer from the client and he said the best colour would be the collage colour which would be purple so we asked to see if we could use any other colours and we were able to deduce that we were able to use many colours for the moving image but the logo had to be in its purple colour.
This was an example of discretion as we wanted to unlock as much of the creative potential we could so when we talked about the colour changes we were being discrete as the colour are the most important factors for an ident. this is because not all colours are appropriate as in some professional idents bright colours are not particularly preferred as the colour can have a slight change of sound. the is why we were being discrete with the client we liked the idea of purple but this would have to be a neutral purple so not too dark not too bright.
Conclusion: In total we were able to be extremely free with our creativity which would help us to make the best ident we could. We were given a nice access to color as well which made the ident designs for our group much more vibrant and exotic this then was when we talked to the client about our ideas and to see of we could create them. The client was happy to let us start filming this idents.

Opportunities were working with the client to fill the brief and I was able to expand our creativity the reason why we wanted this was to be free with our work and enjoy filming it. Another reason is that we can make the idents look more like idents this way we could work hard into making our ident package interesting.
Planning was quite simple as we laid it out clearly how we wanted to make these idents this is because planning would be the most important step in our production. We had to remake the production plan as we were missing some of the information. We laid out the idents in an order and that we would complete one of the idents each. Another would work on the animation this is how we planned it out.
I developed many new skills during this production even skills I have never used before. with this unit I learned how to use animation and I quickly adapted to this new style of editing I learned by creating a stick figure when I created this I followed up with an animation transforming the stick figure into a logo. I quickly learned how to use this new skill so I then decided to push myself further.
I created an art style of an insect man this I then animated by rotoscoping which was one other skill I picked up.
I quickly found myself as the team animator and I quickly adapted to this skill and I found that this was very time consuming.
This was one of the best ways to make our project stand out the way we had to manage time was hard as one person would have to animate the work we filmed so I decided I wanted to do the animation I would turn up to the shoots and as we were finished I would start animating while the group would work on the next Ident.
Multi-skilling was hard to manage as w relied on it a lot as the team were working on an ident I would use the time to animate the first ident this was still a good way to manage time as we were completing multiple tasks at once.
I contributed by working on the animation of the project this way I was able to do the long tasks while my group went out to film the idents when they brought one back I would have finished the first ident I started on, this would save time and make it easier for my group as this would take the weight off of there shoulders.

Amendment to Budget
I amended a list of things on my budget firstly I went back and looked for the right prices for the equipment I used an example of 200 to 600 pounds for exampleI also went and looked for a graph for London underground travel costs. This was then a more clear description of the prices needed for the products required for the production. I also added bus costs for oyster and i found it was £1.50 these were the final things I changed for the budget but the last thing I had to do was look for the individual prices for props that are going to be used.

Group Production Plan
Production PlanDirector/Editor: Nigel Chitme Assistant Director: Tamaira LynchDOP/Animator: Tommy Griffin Camera Operator: Daniel Taiwo Assistant Camera operator: Ashley Davy.
The ident will begin by having the CTK logo appearing on the screen for literally one second only, then immediately after, the first letter, 'G, appears in big and bold writing. Then that letter will fade out, and the footage for the letter 'G' will appear and play for about 3-4 seconds on screen. So, for the letter 'G', which is for the word 'Grit', you will see footage that displays students in the college being courageous, passionate and brave. This will then apply for the remaining letters.
When the letters appear on screen, they will appear in white writing, on top of a customised purple background. I have chosen this idea because these are the two colours that makes the college recognisable.

What has to be done

1

Director
|
On the first day the director needs to explain the idea to the rest of their team, therefore the team can understand the idea fully and has an idea on which person is having which role. This is very important because if the members in the team doesn’t know the idea then they won’t be able to do their role within the team when they start to do the production. A lot of money could be decreased because of the lack of understanding of the idea, which is very bad for the business.

DOP/Animator
|
The DOP job is the producing the storyboard of the idea to show how the final piece should look. This is a guideline for the team when they are working on the piece.

|
Assistant Director
|
The assistant director role is to source the locations that they need for the idea and they need to see if that particular location is suitable for their idea. Also they need to gain permission to shoot on the premises that they want to shoot on and they need to create the shooting schedule.

These roles need to book out the equipment that they need to film, they also need to source the talent and they need to get the talent to sign a release form as proof that they give you’re their consent that you are allowed to film them.

The Treatment
My idea for the 30 second ident for CTK is to promote their ethos. Their ethos is 'graces', and every letter is abbreviated. Graces is short for Grit, Respect, Assurance, Curiosity, Endeavour, and Self-Control. The way I wanted to incorporate this into an ident was by giving each letter, along with appropriate footage that matches each letter a total of 4-5 seconds.
The Budget
The Budget is key to the production this will cover props lighting equipment, Transport, locations and other. the food is one of the most consistent budget payments as this will cover lunch breaks transport will have a budget and the props.
Transport: £40 to London, on site transport free oyster.
Food: £150 cover all client needs
Props: £20 maximum
Camera and Lighting Equipment: free student project.
This will be the budget costs as everything else will be free as this is a collage project and do not have access to mainstream companies to help filming such as Sky, ITV and Channel 4.

The budget will worked with a team to fill the profit equally this way it is organized and we can keep track of all of our resources we have used. locations are free as we are filming.
potential problems with each
The first and main problem we may face is the the way we will have to manage our time especially because we are producing a stop motion ident. the way we are going to make sure that this doesn't make it a problem by setting out a clear and organized shooting schedule within deadlines on when each ident will be shot and edited .
the second problem we may face is with our location, our location is based is the school because we want the viewers to see what they are buying into or in this case signing up for. the location will be full of students going to and from their lesson and trying to to film in tight corridors with people going up and down it can become a health and safely problems but we have set out to shoot while most people are in their lessons and not much is going on so that you can capture a few students.
Designs
Designs we will use will be based on the theme and the idea created by the director, as our theme is CTK Graces we will use a series of colours that represent Christ the King, which are white and purple.
Idents will also be based off of the different element of the sixth form for example, performing arts. This will tie in with the idents because the subjects contain element that will grab the attention of our target audience.
The energy behind the idents will represent the college as well as the graces, the design of them will represent passion, bravery and courageousness which was spoken about in the initial idea of the idents.
The style of ident we will be using is 3D animation and recorded footage as it will give the college more of a professional and stylistic look which will appeal to our primary audience as well as a secondary audience (parents of the students).
