Goodwin uses many different classifications when looking at music videos some music may cater to a certain audience and an example of this would be POP, POP is specifically designed to cater to all audiences and the reason this is true is due to the voyeuristic characteristics of women in music videos. Videos take keys things that are trending with the times such as "twerking" which will be incorporated into the music video.

This isn't just twerking though this is just any sexual themes that boosts the videos popularity this in the process also creates the artists image for the audience an example would be Miley Cyrus as she was a Disney who is now a musician she caters to her audience by keeping up with trends and incorporating them into her music videos which gives her more popularity as she is appealing to a larger audience a video example would be like this.



This video is specifically designed to cater to its target audience which is followed up with growing trends but not only is this is to keep up with consumer needs but this also promotes a lot of competition with different Artists to gain the most profits from fans but this video is also a amplified contextual/performance video and the reason this is, is to advertise to her audience in a live performance so that people may buy tickets to watch the live performance.

Music videos have strong bonds with lyrics and visuals not only is this to tell the story of the song but at the same time it grips the audience as if they are watching a film that they can relate to as this pop genre focuses around there common trend but as the visuals are moving the music is just a melody that follows with the visuals were as now the audience are trying to depict the Narrative or artistic content in the Cinematography.

Record labels may always have specific demands for the artist to make them money this is were trends come into the picture again this may be the artist may have a viral image were the viewer may find very interesting and unusual therefor this creates an environment were the viewer will tell other people about the video thus making it a viral video as the viewers in a way are taking the video into there own hands. Example of this would Aphex Twins come to daddy or Psy Gangnam Style.
