Crew Roles

When making film there are a large amount of specific roles which producers and other workers have to work up to achieve. below are all the crew roles when it comes to filming in this case this is all of the things that are required when making particular films such as horror, thriller, sci fi, romance and many more different genres depending on the kind of film making.

Directors are the most important type crew members as they are the ones to decide who does what role in this case i would say the director has the most responsibility considering the fact they have to organize each camera shot each shot type and the angle in which the shot is being made from also sound and lighting the director also has control over these as he is visioning the story in his way so this is the way the director has control over all crew development.

Camera Operators are also vital to the filming industry as they capture all the various types of shots ranging from two shots, long shots, close up and many more shots the camera operators have full responsibility when it comes to there specific role because if they messed up on a serious scene chances are likely for them to get sued which puts them in debt which may end up leading to them being homeless. filming is very serious and it apply s to every single camera operator in the world it can be so easy to mess up this is why it is important for people working with camera to stay focused when filming there part.

Lighting Operators have a very interesting key role as they are the one who set the stage and the atmosphere in this case this is probably were films get most of there effects. such as in horrors and thrillers the main type of lighting used is low key lighting. this puts on a scene and makes it what it is this is very effective when it comes to horror as the dark lighting creates fear and tension and the idea of being in the dark is also very disturbing. Lighting operators have one of the more easier jobs as its not to bad to set up lighting in a specific scene.

The editor is one of the most important crew role members as in this case they make everything look good such as the camera angles they are used the sound the lighting they have full control on what happens when the film is actually done shooting in this case the editor has too much responsibility considering the fact that they sequence absolutely everything. even from time to time they might even add there own sound into the mix making the film even more cool.

The producers responsibility is to make sure that everything is in check such as the budget costs and more this can range to buying camera equipment, hiring make up artists, renting out studios to edit out voice overs or edit footage and they also have a responsibility for renting whole areas which can cost a fortune. In my eyes the producers are the ones who actually make the film happen due to pre planning as i have just mentioned all the things above such as studios and areas.

Make up artists are just to fill them small pocket holes such as in horrors you would hire make up artists to make the ghosts in the sequence look real and this is  entirely what makes your film unique the amount of horror in the sequence because the ghosts look so real this also apply s to murdered victims in various thrillers make up artists are responsible for making this happen.
